Parish Guilds
Parochial Guilds and Ministries make up the backbone of our activities at Good Shepherd.
Many members of the wider parish family, including those from our community, have joined or support these groups as well. If you are interested in getting involved feel free to contact the individuals listed below.
-
is a group of Parishioners dedicated to spreading the beauty of holiness and richness of our anglican traditions throughout our daily lives. They gather often to create small devotional items, observe special feast days, and also head up our hospitality ministry. For more information speak to Ethan, Carol, or Ardy at Church.
-
Our Altar Guild is responsible for the care and preparation of the vestments, paraments, and all other liturgical items needed for our services. They work closely with our Acolytes and with the Fabric Committee to maintain these items; some of which are as old as Good Shepherd itself!
-
Our Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew is our Church’s men’s group. They sponsor a number of events throughout the year, and cook for our Mother’s Day Brunch as a thank you to the ladies of the church. In addition to this, they gather for formation and lunch at “Minnie’s” downtown - on the first Friday of the month @ 1:00pm. For more information please speak with Father Corwin.
-
Our Chapter of the Daughters of the King is a part of a wider order dedicated to prayer an service within the Anglican Communion, open to all confirmed women of the church. This chapter is currently reforming under the leadership of Carol Bemiester, for more information or to join please speak with her or visit the Dau. of the King website here.

Our E.C.W. (Episcopal Church Women) are an active an inviting group of ladies without whom we would all be lost. They support and maintain a number of the goings on of the Parish while also providing a space for fellowship, and have been doing so since 1871! It is more than just the “ladies auxiliary” of the church, but is a sisterhood of all the women of the church gathered together for the common good of the parish. For more information on their activities please contact Dede Lewis.

Our acolytes are apart of the wider Order of St Vincent, a lay order of altar servers within the Anglican Communion. They are the backbone of all our services and help to form young minds in their faith by service at the altar through direct engagement with Word and Sacrament. If you are interested in becoming an acolyte or would like more information please speak to Ethan Roberts-MacDonald.
